***The Respiratory System***
Your respiratory system is made up the organs in your body that assist you in breathing correctly. Basically, respiration means breathing, so this system obviously delivers oxygen throughout the body (in Humans, for example). Some parts of the respiratory system vary, depending on which animal you are wanting to learn about at the moment. For example, organisms in the water breathe differently than animals like Lions or Pumas, that only live on land. Certain organisms "breathe" through their skin, like jellyfish. They absorb the oxygen molecules within the seawater. Many organisms, like frogs, can also absorb oxygen through their skin. As we can observe, respiration varies throughout all animals...so lets take a look, shall we? Click on the phylum that you want to learn about, right above!
